2) Community for All: Resources for Supporting Community Living (August2004) (Toolkit)
This free, online toolkit was developed by seven disability organizations at the request of professionals and self-advocates concerned that the progress made towards the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities into mainstream community life was at risk. The toolkit contains information and strategies on how to make community integration work and why it is important, as well as personal stories from people who transitioned from an institutional setting into an independent community environment. Available on the Center on Human Policy Web site at Syracuse University. http://thechp.syr.edu/toolkit/
3) Key Provisions on Transition IDEA 1997 compared to H.R. 1350 (IDEA 2004)
On December 3, 2004, President George W. Bush signed H.R. 1350 (IDEA 2004) into law. This document identifies the major changes between IDEA 1997 and H.R. 1350 (IDEA 2004) concerning transition services (bold text indicates language changes from IDEA 1997). See a side by side comparison of these versions of IDEA. http://www.ncset.org/publications/related/ideatransition.asp

Read about relationships, get romance advice from Cubby, and find out what love's got to do with it by reading your horoscope!
You can also find out what self-advocates around the country are saying about dating, like the difference between guys and gals, and what you should – and shouldn't do – on a first date. And there's more!
If you haven't read The Riot! yet check it out! It's unlike any other newsletter you've read. It's fun! It's edgy! And it's free! Look it over, print out copies, and share it with your friends and family!
We'd love to know more about what self-advocates are doing around the country so we can write about it in The Riot! If you want to contribute to the next issue, visit our website at http://www.hsri.org/leaders/theriot
Click on “Send us your comments” to tell us what you're doing. Don't forget! If you have a question for Cubby about romance, dating, or life in general, click on “Ask Cubby” to write him a letter. We cannot promise to publish all your comments and questions but we'll do our best to include your stories and questions in upcoming issues.
Finally, we'd like to remind you that the current issue and back issues of The Riot! are always available on our website at http://www.hsri.org/leaders/theriot
